Early Childhood Music Education

Raphael is excited to share the joys of music and movement with young children ages 2 to 12 as a music specialist in preschool and early elementary settings.

His goal is to develop children's fundamental musicality; their singing voice, their rhythmic sense, their listening skills and their expressiveness. He strives to impart a strong base in creative movement including locomotor skills, spacial awareness, making shapes and drama. He also emphasizes pro-social play throughout his classes.

Raphael accomplishes these goals by drawing inspiration from the tried and true traditions of Orff, Kodaly and Dalcroze as taught to him by the faculty of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and the Dalcroze Society of Canada. He has achieved the RCM's Advanced Diploma in Earlier Childhood Music Education, Level 2 Orff and 50-hour Dalcroze training.
